Dr. Katie has been instrumental in my diagnosis and rehab program. I hurt my shoulder playing college basketball 12 years ago. After several attempts at chiropractic care and physical therapy, I had my shoulder scoped and minor ligaments repaired. I woke up from the surgery feeling exactly the same. I continued to play basketball to the best of my physical ability and hoped my pain would go away once basketball was done. It did not go away and continued to flair up when I worked out or did repetitive movements. Fast forward 12 years; 4 chiropractors and 2 different physical therapists later and I still didn't have an answer or improved symptoms. Then I heard Dr. Katie speak at 1 Million Cups and her authenticity gave me hope to try one last time to fix my shoulder. I initially started going to her for low back pain which she quickly resolved. Then we moved on to my shoulder. We tried different manual rehab techniques in addition to an exercise program. I diligently followed her protocol but symptoms did not improve. Then we started talking about a diagnosis and potential next steps. She told me she thought I had thoracic outlet syndrome, a term I had never heard before. We tried a TOS specific PT program and decided to get a second opinion and consult further medical screening. Dr. Katie provided me with a letter highlighting what we had tried in addition to a possible diagnoses. There was uncertainty as thoracic outlet syndrome was diagnosed through process of elimination. I went to the U of M and completed several tests and appointments, finally getting to a vascular surgeon who could do the surgery I had been seeking. I just had my surgery and the surgeon assured me it was necessary and was hopeful I would have relieved symptoms. I already feel better and have started my post surgical rehab with Dr. Katie. Katie is the best! We drive 1.5 hrs just to see her, and it’s definitely worth it! I’m sure she’s fantastic with all athletes/people, but if you have gymnast/dancer children she really understands what they need not only to help with injuries but to help prevent them by setting up flexibility/ strength/ and conditioning programs. ⭐️

Katie is very professional thorough and provides great education so the patient is informed and knowledgeable about what is happening and the steps going forward. Myself and my kids have been treated by Katie on multiple occasions for different injuries. She gets us back to our normal life better than we were before. We highly recommend going her!
